  • Recreation & Leisure
Services:
  • Renewables and BESS Design & Approvals
  • Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Design
  • Electrical & P&ID Drafting
Context:Gungahlin Marketplace wanted to install solar to offset their electricity bills. The complexity of their embedded network and multiple building roofs meant they required professional engineering services to design the solar installation.
Our Role:Engenuity was engaged to produce a compliant solar design which fit into the existing electrical constraints of the site. Engenuity undertook both the AC and DC design and produced tender documents for the client to use as the basis of a competitive tender for the solar supply and installation. Post-installation, Engenuity attended site to review compliance of the installation and assist with identification of defects.
Key Outcomes:
  • Enabled competitive tendering of the design to achieve the best value solution
  • Reduced capital cost through claiming small-scale technology certificates by careful design of the ~1MW solar installation
  • Maximised solar output for the available roof area and site electrical constraints
  • Objective third-party engineering advice through the tendering and installation process.
