Context:

Chemours required a detailed design of a mineral sands processing plant for their new mine near Jesup, Georgia in the USA. Mineral Technologies were engaged to provide process & mechanical engineering services and Engenuity were to provide the EIC design. 

Our Role: 

Engenuity provided full high voltage, low voltage, instrumentation and control system design for the entire mine and mineral sands processing plant. This was completed in partnership with Mineral Technologies (who provided process / mechanical / structural input). This involved the full development of detailed design documentation to the NEC and associated equipment tender reviews and recommendations.  

Key Outcomes:

By integrating fully into the Mineral Technologies team, Engenuity was able to quickly react to changes in process/mechanical design, ensuring that budget and schedule pressures were not compromised.  

Additionally, it made for easy communication with Chemours as they saw the partnership as one team with one goal: providing the best design and service possible.  

The Chemours Jesup site was commissioned at the end of 2020 and is currently fully operational.
