Queensland WHS Regulation requires that modifications to amusement rides must have the design verified and registered (Form 14).
This upgrade included installation of backup generation and a new lift motor to allow passengers to disembark in the event of a power outage. The changes necessitated an electrical verification of the design against the Australian Safety of Machinery – Electrical Equipment standard (AS/NZS 4024.1204).
Our Role:
Engenuity were engaged to provide RPEQ electrical design verification of the ride upgrade. Engenuitycompleted a technical review of the Manufacturer information to assess compliance and compile an electrical verification report. The review included analysis of the power system, engineering calculations, and inspection of the installation by a RPEQ engineer.
